Question:
I cannot use my GPSlim236 with TomTom navigator, what should I do?
Answer:
Please note that TomTom has made some changes from TomTom3 to TomTom5. 1.TomTom3: You should be able to connect our BT receivers with TomTom by selecting NMEA 0183v2 38400 Bluetooth Serial Port from the GPS setting list. 2.TomTom5: In the TomTom setting you have to assign a GPS-device. The Holux device is displayed as a wireless GPS. When you select this item, TomTom doesn't work. However, when you select the option Another Cable-NMEA-GPS (this is in the TomTom GPS Setup), and set the Baudrate to 9600 (38400 should be working as well), you will only have to choose the right com port (which is detectable with your test software) and it will work as a wireless GPS. Please note the above setting is only suitable for Pocket PC systems.
Holux GR- 213
Question:
Do I need to install driver for GR-213?
Answer:
For Pocket PC or Palm PDA, you do not need to install any driver for them. What you do is plug the connector of GR-213 cable to the bottom of your PDA, and the GPS signal will transfer to your PDA directly. The exceptions are Toshiba e330/e740, you will need to install the driver on the CD or download the latest version from our website. For Laptop or notebook, you do not need to install driver if you are using GR-213 with DB9 (RS-232) connector. However, you do need to install the driver on the CD or our website if you are using GR-213 with USB connector.
